Rekor Systems has developed a technology framework to protect personal privacy in connection with vehicle recognition data, including data generated through automated license plate recognition. The framework encodes and anonymizes vehicle identification data at the point of collection and has obtained a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office. This technology aims to mitigate risks associated with large-scale ALPR networks and data sharing, and protect personal information from unauthorized access.
