American Resources Corp's rare earth refining unit, ReElement Technologies, has signed a long-term supply agreement with US magnet manufacturer Vulcan Elements. The deal provides magnet-grade rare earth oxides to support Vulcan's production, with plans to expand volumes as demand grows. The partnership aims to build a fully domestic supply chain for critical minerals. ReElement uses a proprietary chromatographic separation and purification process to reduce costs and environmental impact.

American Resources Corp's rare earth refining unit, ReElement Technologies, has signed a long-term supply agreement with U.S. magnet manufacturer Vulcan Elements. The deal provides magnet-grade rare earth oxides, including neodymium (Nd), neodymium - praseodymium (NdPr), and dysprosium (Dy), to support Vulcan's production operations [1]. The partnership aims to build a fully domestic supply chain for critical minerals, reducing reliance on foreign sources and strengthening the U.S. manufacturing base.

ReElement Technologies employs a proprietary chromatographic separation and purification process, which significantly reduces capital costs, operating expenses, environmental impact, and chemical usage while improving processing efficiency and scalability [1]. This technology, rooted in innovation, leverages a column-and-resin system that increases surface area interface, drawing on decades of commercial application from industries such as sugar refining and pharmaceutical production. The modular nature of the process allows for rapid deployment across locations and resource types, addressing a major chokepoint in global critical mineral supply chains.

Vulcan Elements, committed to advancing technological innovations and strengthening the domestic rare earth magnet supply chain, will utilize the high-purity rare earth oxides provided by ReElement to manufacture permanent sintered neodymium iron boron magnets for critical defense and commercial applications [1]. The collaboration is designed to grow alongside market demand, with both parties working to expand the agreement to scale production.

Mark Jensen, CEO of ReElement Technologies, commented, "We're proud to advance our relationship with Vulcan into a multi-year contract that reflects our mutual commitment to building a resilient, U.S.-based rare earth magnet supply chain. Our refining platform enables us to supply separated and purified rare earth oxides at costs comparable to Chinese producers - while being domestically sourced and sustainably processed" [1].

John Maslin, CEO of Vulcan Elements, added, "This partnership is a crucial step toward restoring American manufacturing and strengthening our technological and industrial base for decades to come. With this agreement, Vulcan is poised to deliver for America's innovators and warfighters, and ensure that the United States can continue to lead the world in the economic sectors that will define the 21st century" [1].

The partnership between ReElement Technologies and Vulcan Elements underscores the importance of domestic sourcing and innovation in the critical mineral supply chain. As demand for rare earth magnets grows, this agreement positions both companies to meet the increasing demand for magnet-grade products sustainably and cost-effectively.
