is accepted, has announced the expansion of its services to include support for the Solana, Tron, and networks. This development allows companies building on these blockchain networks to launch their own branded cards, which can be backed by either custodial or non-custodial wallets. These cards will function across borders and various payment scenarios, enabling users to pay with stablecoins in real-world situations such as grocery shopping, business payouts, or receiving funds from overseas. The integration of these networks underscores the increasing trend of utilizing blockchain technology for everyday payments, particularly through stablecoins. highlights the growing demand for seamless integration between digital assets and traditional payment methods, making it easier for users to incorporate stablecoins into their daily financial activities.Rain's recent Series A funding round, which raised $24.5 million in March, has fueled the company's expansion efforts. The demand for card programs tied to stablecoins is on the rise, especially among platforms aiming to bridge the gap between digital assets and everyday spending. Rain positions itself as the only Visa Principal Member offering multi-chain card issuance out of the box, allowing developers to access a single API to implement global payments using stablecoins. The platform already supports networks like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon, and the addition of Solana, Tron, and Stellar brings in networks known for their speed, remittance capabilities, and high stablecoin volume, respectively.
Several applications, including KAST and Offramp, are already leveraging Rain's platform. KAST, built on Solana, issues cards that connect directly to users’ wallets, enabling real-time spending. Offramp, based on Tron, is rolling out cards in Latin America to expand access to dollar-based payments. These examples demonstrate the practical applications of Rain's technology in facilitating stablecoin payments across different regions and use cases.
