Purepoint's 8% Uranium Hit at Dorado Is Moving Into the Make-or-Break Phase


Dorado's first great intercept has moved the story past the novelty stage
Dorado no longer looks like a one-hole curiosity. Hole PG25-07A returned 8.1% U₃O₈ over 0.4 m within 2.1 m of 1.6% U₃O₈ on the Larocque Trend, and the structure remains open in all directions. That is what makes the 2026 program the real next test: the discovery now has to be expanded, not just advertised.
The core question is needle hunt or larger system?
The bull case is easy to understand. Dorado sits on a well-known high-grade corridor, and Purepoint and IsoEnergyISOU-- have assembled more than 98,000 hectares across the package. That gives the project both location and scale appeal.
The bear case is simpler and fairer: one excellent intercept is still only one intercept. Until follow-up drilling shows continuity, investors should not price Nova as a fully formed resource.
That is why timing matters now. The joint venture is already committed to 17 holes totalling 7,450 metres, beginning with 10 holes totalling approximately 4,300 metres in winter to expand Nova. If those holes extend the high-grade system, the story can rerate quickly. If they do not, Dorado stays a very good discovery with an unresolved footprint.
Nova's latest radiometric signal is useful, but it is not assay data
Just reported, 5.6 metres of continuous radioactivity peaking at 53,300 CPS matters because continuity is the missing link between a striking intercept and a drillable system. It supports the case that the mineralized zone is not completely fragmented.
Still, the limitation is important: gamma counts are not assay data. Bulls can read that result as a persistent high-grade shell. Bears can correctly note that radiometrics alone cannot define grade or economics. The practical takeaway is in between: the signal justifies aggressive follow-up, but it does not settle the case on its own.

Why continuity matters more than a single headline intercept
A one-hole story is priced as discovery potential. A continuous system can start to be modeled as a resource envelope. In Athabasca-style deposits, persistent high-grade continuity can make future resource geometry more compelling, but that only happens if subsequent drilling actually ties the zone together.
That is why the latest radiometric result matters. It suggests the radioactivity window is robust enough to merit serious follow-up. If the next holes connect that zone to reported uranium grades and to each other, Dorado starts to look less like a needle hunt and more like a district-scale target with multiple drillable opportunities.
The joint-venture structure is part of the upside
Dorado is the IsoEnergy–Purepoint 50/50 joint venture, and Purepoint says it works with partners to advance projects while minimizing excessive dilution for shareholders. That matters because high-quality uranium ground can still be damaged by expensive financing.
A 50/50 setup with an operating partner can support more drilling without immediately stretching equity. It also adds a useful reality check: IsoEnergy already operates on the Larocque Trend through the Hurricane Deposit. If Purepoint keeps technical leadership as operator while the partner helps fund the work, investors may get more exploration progress per dollar of balance-sheet risk.
What would turn Dorado from a story into an investable exploration case
The bridge from hype to investable is not another press-release intercept. It is proof that the system can be drilled, connected, and scaled. With the joint venture already behind a 2026 expanded exploration program, Purepoint has the kind of setup junior teams look for: approved follow-up on ground that remains open in all directions.
The next results need to answer three tests
- Continuity: Does Nova start to look like the core of a larger Athabasca-style system rather than a standalone high-grade find?
- Grade linkage: Does upcoming drilling connect the radiometric halo back to reported uranium grades and show consistent step-out improvement?
- Broader target definition: Do additional zones beyond Nova begin to emerge across the more than 98,000 hectares package, supporting the district-scale idea?
The main risk is still a small footprint
If the dataset stays sparse, continuity remains weak, or the open ends fail to extend, Dorado reverts to a great-grade, small-footprint story. In that case, the land package remains optionality, not a near-term asset.
The same caution applies to the financing narrative. The setup is attractive because it relies on partner funding and minimizing excessive dilution for shareholders, but that only helps shareholders if the geology confirms that this is more than an early, high-grade idea.
If the next releases connect the dots, Purepoint's Dorado project can move quickly from promising discovery to serious exploration alpha. If they do not, the market will likely wait.
