Progress Software (Nasdaq: PRGS) has announced the launch of Progress Federal Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary dedicated to serving the specialized needs of U.S. federal, defense, and public sector organizations. The subsidiary was unveiled at the Progress Data Platform Summit in Washington, D.C., and aims to accelerate digital transformation, meet compliance mandates, and unlock the potential of AI and data initiatives to drive smarter and faster outcomes.

Progress Federal Solutions will operate independently while leveraging the full strength of Progress Software’s technology portfolio. The subsidiary specializes in helping government agencies navigate the complexities of modern data management and integration, leveraging AI, semantic technologies, and secure infrastructure to achieve these goals. The subsidiary builds on the foundation of MarkLogic, acquired by Progress Software in 2023, and offers a range of solutions including the Progress Data Platform, Sitefinity, Chef, LoadMaster, and MOVEit products.

The Progress Data Platform, an end-to-end, AI-powered solution, enables organizations to connect, curate, and consume data across complex environments. Key capabilities include Automated Semantics for Progressive AI, Progressive Graphs, and Progressive Vectors, which support real-time semantic search and contextual understanding. These innovations are crucial for federal agencies looking to extract actionable intelligence from vast, complex datasets while maintaining security and compliance.

The subsidiary’s focus on AI-powered data solutions aligns with current federal mandates and priorities, addressing the critical need for extracting insights from diverse data sources. The distribution partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp. is particularly noteworthy, providing immediate access to procurement channels through multiple contract vehicles, including GSA Schedule, SEWP V, and ITES-SW2.

Progress Federal Solutions aims to bridge the gap between commercial technology innovation and government procurement processes, enabling the company to capitalize on the government’s accelerating adoption of AI and data-centric strategies. The subsidiary’s mission is to deliver measurable outcomes and help federal agencies modernize their legacy systems while meeting strict compliance requirements.
