Private Lenders Buy $2 Billion of Hologic Debt, Highlighting Growing Role in Big Buyouts

PSP Investments, Oaktree Capital, Franklin Templeton, and other private lenders have acquired about $2 billion of subordinated debt for Hologic's buyout. The debt, part of a $12.25 billion package, pays 5 percentage points over the floating-rate benchmark at a discount price of 99 cents on the dollar. The transaction highlights cooperation between banks and private credit firms in big buyout deals.
