Amazon Prime Video has announced that the second season of the hit series "Fallout" will premiere in December 2025, with the story shifting to the iconic New Vegas setting. The show, based on the popular video game, follows the story of haves and have-nots in a post-apocalyptic world. The new season introduces returning characters and new additions to the cast, including Macaulay Culkin as a "crazy genius-type character."
The new poster for Fallout: Season 2 reveals the return of Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, Maximus, and The Ghoul’s dog companion, Dogmeat, on the outskirts of New Vegas. The showrunners have confirmed that the story is set 15 years after the events depicted in Fallout: New Vegas, with fans expecting to see the New Vegas Strip, including iconic locales like the Lucky 38 Resort and Casino and The Tops, before and after the nuclear war.
The return of Mr. House, aka Robert House, is a significant addition to the series. Mr. House, a key figure in the games, rules New Vegas from his Lucky 38 casino. His inclusion has sparked debate among fans about which Fallout: New Vegas ending is canon, given that the TV series is also considered canon.
Fallout: Season 2 will also feature Deathclaws, a popular creature from the Fallout universe. The showrunners have stated that the world has progressed and that the wasteland is not static, implying more has occurred since the events of Fallout: New Vegas.
The cast includes Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Walton Goggins, who will be joined by Macaulay Culkin. The series is produced by Kilter Films, with executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham. Todd Howard and Bethesda Game Studios also serve as executive producers.
The show is expected to have a presence at the upcoming gamescom, with a presentation at Opening Night Live on Tuesday, August 19. Fallout has already been renewed for a third season.
