PowerBank Corporation and Smartlink AI plan to launch the world's first Orbital Cloud, a solar-powered data center and communications infrastructure in low Earth orbit. The project aims to overcome energy and cooling constraints facing the AI industry on Earth and create a globally sovereign, AI-enabled digital layer in space. The first satellite, DeStarlink Genesis-1, is scheduled to launch in December 2025 and combines communications, orbital AI data centers, and blockchain-powered verification nodes. The combined market for orbital satellites, in-orbit data centers, blockchain verification, and solar-powered digital infrastructure is projected to exceed $700 billion over the next decade.
