Polytrade, a prominent player in the real-world asset (RWA) sector within the crypto space, has successfully raised over $6 million in a private strategic funding round. This influx of capital is set to accelerate the company's mission to develop infrastructure for tokenized real estate and to enhance its technological offerings for the financial sector.
The funding round was backed by key players in the real estate and fintech industries, aligning capital with real-world distribution and institutional demand. Polytrade currently operates the largest tokenized RWA marketplace, featuring over 7,000 assets across more than 70 tokenization partners and 8 different blockchain networks.
Supported by major investors including
, Polygon, Alpha Wave, and Matrix Partners, the platform provides users with access to a variety of tokenized assets such as T-bills, real estate, structured credit, and stocks. These assets are sourced from trusted protocols like Ondo, Centrifuge, and Paxos. With the new capital, Polytrade is focusing on two primary areas: (1) the development of tokenized real estate infrastructure and (2) the expansion of institutional technology modules. These modules include APIs, KYC infrastructure, and smart contract tools designed specifically for banks, asset managers, and fintech startups.
“After stablecoins and government debt, we see real estate as the next big use case for tokenization,” said Polytrade Founder Piyush Gupta. “Our goal is to provide the infrastructure layer that allows anyone, from a traditional real estate fund to a DeFi protocol, to plug in and scale.”
Initially conceived as a trade finance protocol, Polytrade now operates in two main areas: its RWA Marketplace and a growing suite of Institutional Tech solutions. Both are built on ERC-6960, a token standard designed for programmable, compliant, and fractional ownership of real-world assets.
Polytrade’s infrastructure addresses key challenges in the real estate sector, including illiquidity, lack of access for small investors, manual processes, and inconsistent standards. By providing trust-first infrastructure with audit trails, provenance, and compliance metadata, Polytrade is making tokenized real estate investable for both institutions and the public.
The company is currently collaborating with real estate asset managers in the US, Europe, and the UAE. Additionally, Polytrade has partnered with Mastercard on its MTN (Multi-Token Network) and Start Path programs to develop institutional-grade infrastructure for tokenized assets.
