Pizza Chain Ditches Uber Eats Over Fee Hike, Seeks DoorDash Deal

Pizza Inn and Pie Five, owned by Rave Restaurant Group, have ended their partnership with Uber Eats due to a fee increase that Solano, the CEO, believes leaves operators with almost no profit from delivery transactions. The fees, which cover couriers, customer acquisition, and payment processing, have risen from 15% to 20% per order and from 6% to 7% for pickup orders. Solano argues that paying up to 30% per transaction is unsustainable.
