Pitch2Win5 Showcases 12 African Startups for $10,000 Grant

Techcircle, in collaboration with SGGrow, SGVerse, and FreakOut Holdings, has announced the 12 finalists for the fifth edition of Pitch2Win, a prominent startup competition aimed at African founders. The event, set to take place on July 30, 2025, in Lagos, will gather over 80 investors from Nigeria, Asia, and other global markets to evaluate innovative startups. The competition will award a $10,000 equity-free grant to the most compelling pitch.

Oo Nwoye, the founder of Techcircle, emphasized the significance of Pitch2Win, stating, “Pitch2Win is about spotlighting founders building for the future. We’re creating the right environment for them to connect with capital and people that can move their startups forward.” Since its inception, Pitch2Win has served as a launchpad for early-stage startups, which have collectively raised over $50 million. Notable past participants include Reliance Health, Curacel, Edves, Lendsqr, and Figorr. In 2024, Regxta, the winner of Pitch2Win 4, secured nearly $400,000 in funding within one week of the event. Other finalists from previous editions, such as Pharmarun, Tyms, and ZeroComplex AI, have also gained investor backing and strategic partnerships.

This year’s Pitch2Win shortlisted startups include a diverse range of innovative companies. Billingrails is a modular, API-first billing platform that helps businesses build custom billing systems quickly and efficiently. It supports various pricing models, billing operations, and integrations, including SaaS credits, fintech fees, and retail loyalty programs, without added complexity. The founders of Billingrails are Nkenu Timothy and Ugochukwu Nneji.

Case Radar is a legal technology platform that simplifies access to legal information by making court judgments searchable and easy to access. It helps lawyers, NGOs, legal aid organizations, and the public analyze case trends, reduce research time, and advocate more effectively. The founders of Case Radar are Obinnaya Agbo and Anthony-Mark Ngwu.

Cubbes is an academic platform designed to help students stay organized, motivated, and better prepared for exams. It digitizes handwritten notes, offers AI-powered study tools, and provides a curated academic library with materials directly from lecturers. The founders of Cubbes are Peter Adeyemi and Emmanuel Akinleye.

Eventpadi is a logistics management app that helps event organizers save time, reduce costs, and improve attendee experiences. It centralizes planning tasks, automates workflows, connects users with vetted vendors, and secures payments through an escrow system to prevent losses. The founders of Eventpadi are Vincent Mayaki and Tosin Aiyetigbo.

Impulse CRM by FusionX Labs is a sales performance platform that replaces the franken-stack of sales point tools for lead discovery, enrichment, outreach, call recording, pipeline management, and CRM. It offers all these features in a sleek, cohesive interface. The founders of Impulse CRM are Emmanuel Aneri, Lamide Young, and Timothy Adeolu.

Iyewo is a health platform that combines technology and in-person care to deliver low-cost, subscription-based primary healthcare to underserved communities. It targets the informal sector, where most people lack health coverage, by improving accessibility, affordability, and continuity of care. The founder of Iyewo is Folake Kofo-Idowu.

Kuraway is a B2B e-commerce platform that helps businesses and global buyers source products from manufacturers and wholesalers across Africa. Merchants gain global visibility through its B2B platform, which includes built-in financing, escrow payment solutions, B2B messaging, and shipping support. The founders of Kuraway are David Chima and Edmund Isaac.

Midddleman is a platform that solves the challenges of unreliable product sourcing, payment fraud, and shipping inefficiencies for African businesses trading with China. It offers AI-powered sourcing and procurement, secure Chinese Yuan payments, and integrated logistics—all in one trusted solution. The founders of Midddleman are Adeola Owosho and Omolara Sanni.

Lumi by HiPrep is an AI-powered learning companion designed to help children master core subjects at their own pace. It addresses challenges like overcrowded classrooms and limited teacher support by offering personalized, skill-based learning in a fun and engaging way. The founder of Lumi is Adanma Ugwu.

Talktu is a personalized speech therapy platform that parents can access from any device. It offers daily activities tailored to each child’s specific speech challenges, guided by parents or caregivers to support consistent progress at home. The founders of Talktu are Sarah Andino, Dr. Ibraheem Salako, and Victoria Aigbekean.

Trackus is a performance analysis platform for youth sports that uses AI-powered video to track players, highlight strengths, and support data-driven decisions. It helps teams, coaches, and scouts improve training, scouting, and overall game outcomes. The founder of Trackus is Elisha Odemakinde.

Wetrocloud is a platform that offers data scraping, data extraction, and RAG APIs to automation experts for workflow automations that empower SMEs and large organizations. The founders of Wetrocloud are Afolabi Sokeye, Divine Erhomonsele, Michael Aluko, and Jermaiah Obobairibhojie.

These startups were selected from over 1,300 applications following a competitive call. Together, they represent key sectors and highlight the strength of Africa’s early-stage innovation ecosystem. Pitch2Win5 will also bring together investors, founders, policy leaders, and ecosystem operators, creating a platform for funding opportunities, industry insights, and strategic networking.
