Pi Network Launches 2025 Hackathon With 160,000 PI Prize Pool

Pi Network has officially launched the Pi Hackathon 2025, a major development milestone following the Open Network’s activation in February 2025 [1]. The Pi Core Team, led by Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis and Dr. Chengdiao Fan, has emphasized the importance of this initiative in driving the network’s broader utility and adoption. Developers are encouraged to create solutions in areas like payments, community-based services, and AI integration [6]. The Core Team has also provided tools such as the Pi App Studio, Brainstorm App, and Developer Portal to support the development process [7].
