Phillips 66 plans to lay off 277 employees as operations at its 139,000-barrel-per-day Los Angeles-area refinery wind down ahead of closure. The refinery will terminate 122 employees in April and an additional 155 employees previously notified. The facility had around 600 employees and 300 contractors. The layoffs are in line with the company's plan to idle the refinery in late 2025.
