Philip Morris International Stock Drops 72% in Volume, Ranks 150th in Market

On June 23, 2025, Philip Morris International (PM) saw a trading volume of $520 million, a significant 72.33% decrease from the previous day, placing it at the 150th position in the day's stock market rankings. The company's stock price rose by 0.90%, marking the second consecutive day of gains, with a total increase of 1.27% over the past two days.

Philip Morris Misr has introduced the IQOS ILUMA i in Egypt, the latest addition to its range of smoke-free products. This new device represents a significant advancement in tobacco heating technology, featuring the innovative SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM™, which heats tobacco internally without combustion. This results in a cleaner, residue-free experience for users, eliminating the need for constant cleaning. The device also emits, on average, 95% lower levels of harmful chemicals compared to traditional cigarettes.

The IQOS ILUMA i includes several user-friendly features, such as an interactive touchscreen for easy viewing of usage information and a Pause Mode that allows users to pause their experience for up to 8 minutes and resume it seamlessly. The FlexPuff feature enables users to customize their usage, while FlexBattery technology extends battery life and reduces electronic waste. The device continues to use TEREA tobacco sticks, ensuring a consistent user experience without the need to change sticks or adopt new systems.
