Police in Andhra Pradesh are making elaborate security arrangements for the upcoming Ganesh and Dasara festivities. Review meetings are being held to finalize bandobust plans and ensure peaceful celebrations. The Ganesh Utsava Samiti has appealed to organizers to obtain prior permission from the police and cooperate with officials.
For the Ganesh Navaratri Utsavams, which begin on August 27, organizers must share details such as the height of the Ganesh idol, name of the pandal organizer, fire-fighting arrangements, date of immersion, and procession routes with the police. This information is crucial for the smooth conduct of the festivities and to prevent clashes and fire accidents. The Samiti has urged district, mandal, and village organizers to secure permissions from the Police, Fire, and other relevant departments.
In addition to Ganesh celebrations, the police are also making extensive arrangements for the Dasara Navaratri Utsavams. Over 5,000 police personnel will be deployed to prevent thefts and other crimes during the nine-day celebrations. The joint meeting on Dasara arrangements reviewed security and other preparations for the Navaratri Utsavams, which commence on September 22.
The police are taking a proactive approach to ensure that the festivities are conducted in a safe and orderly manner, minimizing the risk of accidents and incidents. The cooperation of organizers and the public is essential for the successful implementation of these security measures.
