The National Geographic Society and PepsiCo have launched the Food for Tomorrow program, focusing on regenerative agriculture to address the global food system's challenges. The program will support explorer-driven stories and scientists in exploring the future of food through science, storytelling, and education. It aims to raise awareness about the benefits of regenerative agriculture, which restores soil health and natural resources, and empower people to make sustainable food choices. The program has set a goal to spread the adoption of regenerative practices across 10 million acres by 2030.

The National Geographic Society and PepsiCo have launched the 'Food for Tomorrow' program, a collaborative initiative focused on regenerative agriculture to address the global food system's challenges. The program aims to harness the power of science, storytelling, and education to inspire positive change and promote sustainable food choices.

The 'Food for Tomorrow' program will support National Geographic Explorers in exploring the future of food through scientific research, innovative technology, and compelling storytelling. The initiative will raise awareness about the benefits of regenerative agriculture, which focuses on restoring soil health and natural resources, thereby addressing environmental threats such as soil degradation and habitat loss.

The program has set a goal to spread the adoption of regenerative practices across 10 million acres by 2030. PepsiCo, a global food and drink company, has already committed to this goal, recognizing the critical role of regenerative agriculture in building a more resilient food system.

The program will initially support five National Geographic Explorers, who will feature stories about real people, real farmers, and real communities to spotlight sustainable and regenerative practices in food production. Additionally, the program will fund scientific grants to support innovative, nature-positive proposals that apply science in real-world contexts and aim to scale regenerative agricultural practices around the world.

To further bring this challenge and opportunity to life, PepsiCo collaborated with National Geographic CreativeWorks on the development of three short films to capture firsthand how farmers are embracing regenerative agriculture. The program will also develop a dynamic data visualization mapping tool that showcases how regenerative agriculture boosts food and farming resilience.

The 'Food for Tomorrow' program is a significant step towards addressing the global food system's challenges and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. By combining the expertise of PepsiCo and the storytelling power of the National Geographic Society, the program aims to support farmers, protect the planet, and build a stronger, more resilient future for all.
