Pegasus Airlines Expands Batman-İzmir Route as SunExpress Joins, Doubling Weekly Flights

Pegasus Airlines has increased its schedule with the launch of new flights on the Batman-İzmir route, effectively enhancing travel options between these destinations. As of June 10, Pegasus commenced reciprocal flights, offering services twice a week, specifically on Tuesdays and Fridays. This development signifies a strategic effort to bolster air travel connectivity within the region.

Following in Pegasus's footsteps, SunExpress Airlines entered the Batman-İzmir market with its inaugural flight on July 16, expanding passenger choices further. The aircraft, registered as TC-SME, departed from İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport and successfully landed at Batman Airport at 07:20, achieving a full capacity on its maiden voyage. This high passenger turnout highlights the rising demand for flights on this route. Upon arrival, passengers were greeted by ground service personnel with complimentary chocolates, and the cabin crew received flowers as tokens of celebration.

SunExpress has committed to operating two scheduled flights per week on the Batman-İzmir corridor. Its schedule includes departures from İzmir on Wednesdays with a landing time at Batman at 07:35, followed by a return flight at 08:15. Additionally, the airline has allocated late-night operations on Fridays, landing at 23:05 and departing at 23:45.

The introduction of SunExpress's services results in a total of four weekly flights on this specific route, effectively doubling the travel options available to passengers. This synchronized expansion by Pegasus and SunExpress ensures that travelers between Batman and İzmir benefit from increased flight frequencies, particularly on Fridays when both airlines operate.
