"PACT Protocol Brings $1B in On-Chain Assets to Aptos, Expanding Global Credit Access"
The PACT Protocol, a pioneering platform for on-chain lending and securitization, has launched on the Aptos Network, bringing over $1 billion in on-chain assets to the high-performance blockchain. This strategic move follows nine months of collaboration with the Aptos Foundation and strategic consultation from Aptos Labs.
PACT Protocol enables licensed lenders in emerging markets to originate, securitize, and service loans more efficiently, fostering a transparent, efficient, and scalable financial environment for borrowers, originators, and institutional investors. By launching on Aptos, PACT is expanding access to credit in underserved markets, making borrowing more affordable and inclusive globally.
Ash Pampati, Head of Ecosystem at Aptos, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: "This is expanding financial access to those who need it most– users who live in emerging markets across the globe. I’m thrilled to see the impact it will have on the Aptos ecosystem and beyond." Solomon Tesfaye, Head of Capital Markets at Aptos Labs, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the real-world blockchain adoption demonstrated by PACT's integration with Aptos.
PACT chose Aptos for its institutional-grade infrastructure, scalability, and adoption in the financial sector. Aptos' support for native USDC and USDT, high-profile integrations, and ability to process high transaction volumes with low fees ensure seamless credit flows while maintaining security and reliability through its Move programming language. PACT Protocol utilizes BitGo for custody and compliance, providing a robust security and operational backbone for institutional clients worldwide.
Joshua March, President of Pact Labs, emphasized the benefits of PACT's transition to Aptos: "PACT’s transition to Aptos unlocks greater efficiency, broader institutional adoption, and real-world financial impact. With Aptos, we’re driving new levels of scalability, security, and speed, fundamentally transforming how credit markets operate on-chain."
The PACT Protocol enables fintech lenders, institutional investors, and capital market participants to issue, manage, and securitize loans directly on-chain, reducing costs and expanding access to global credit markets.
