OX2, a wind power company owned by EQT, has signed a management contract with Renewable Power Capital for four Swedish wind farms with a total capacity of 550 MW. The assignment includes technical, commercial, and financial management of the Knäsjöberget, Sörlidberget, Viberget, and Storhöjden wind farms, which are expected to become operational in late 2025. OX2 currently manages approximately 6.7 GW of renewable energy.
OX2, a subsidiary of EQT, has secured a significant asset management contract with Renewable Power Capital (RPC) for four Swedish wind farms. The agreement covers the Knäsjöberget, Sörlidberget, Viberget, and Storhöjden wind farms, which have a total capacity of 550 MW. The wind farms are expected to become operational by late 2025.
Under the terms of the contract, OX2 will oversee the technical, commercial, and financial management of the wind farms to support their operational performance as they approach commercial operation. This marks the largest wind asset management portfolio contract to date in the Nordics.
Lars Bryngelsson, Head of OX2 Technical and Commercial Management, expressed pride in the company's ability to manage externally developed and built assets, noting that this contract adds 2.2 GW to OX2's portfolio, which totals 6.7 GW of renewable energy projects. Miguel Pérez, Director for Asset Management and Power Markets at RPC, stated that the company is pleased to partner with OX2 to manage the High Coast portfolio as it moves into the operational phase, valuing OX2's extensive experience in managing Nordic wind assets.
This contract highlights OX2's growing influence in the renewable energy sector and its capability to manage large-scale renewable energy projects efficiently.
