Oscar Piastri claimed pole position for the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort after narrowly outpacing his McLaren teammate, Lando Norris, in a closely contested qualifying session. Alpine's Pierre Gasly found himself eliminated in Q2, echoing Alex Albon's sentiments from Williams, who struggled with tire performance and ended up 15th.
Esteban Ocon had a challenging session for Haas, placing 18th just ahead of teammate Ollie Bearman. Lance Stroll endured a tough qualifying, unable to set a time due to an early incident with the barriers, confining him to the back of the grid.
The Zandvoort circuit, known for its tricky overtaking conditions, will likely make race starts critical. With Piastri on pole and Norris alongside him, McLaren looks poised for a strong race-day performance, with Verstappen eager to capitalize on any opportunities in front of his home fans.
