Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX: ORV; OTCQX: ORVMF) has announced the production of its first gold-silver doré bar from the processing of oxides stockpiled at its Don Mario site in southeastern Bolivia. This milestone marks a key step in the Oxides Stockpile Project (OSP), which aims to process oxide material stockpiled during previous years of mining operations at the site.

The Don Mario operation, owned and operated by Orvana’s Bolivian subsidiary, Empresa Minera Paitití S.A. (EMIPA), had temporarily suspended mining and milling activities in early fiscal 2020 due to the depletion of mineral reserves at the time. The OSP includes a significant expansion of the plant to enable copper cathode production and an upgrade of the ADR section of the legacy gold-silver circuit.

Juan Gavidia, Chief Executive Officer of Orvana, stated that the first doré bar confirms that the metallurgical performance of the expanded Don Mario Plant is in line with design and engineering expectations. The company remains focused on increasing throughput and optimizing plant performance as operations ramp up.

EMIPA’s next operational milestones include the safe and disciplined ramp-up of the expanded plant, with a focus on achieving full commercial production of gold-silver doré and copper cathodes. Production levels during fiscal 2026 will depend on the progress of these ramp-up activities and the stabilization of all operating circuits.

The scientific and technical information in the announcement has been reviewed and approved by Luis Isla, Chief of Geology of EMIPA, a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.

Orvana operates multiple assets, including the producing Orovalle operation in northern Spain, the Don Mario operation in Bolivia, and the Taguas property in Argentina. The company has provided cautionary statements regarding forward-looking information, noting that actual results may differ due to various operational, regulatory, and market factors.
