Orca Security has achieved IRAP assessment at the PROTECTED classification level, reinforcing its commitment to meeting rigorous security standards for the Australian public sector. The company's agentless Cloud Security Platform has been evaluated by Tesserent, an approved IRAP assessor, and has been found to comply with the Australian Government Information Security Manual. This achievement bolsters Orca's position as a trusted partner for cloud security in the region and reinforces its commitment to protecting critical government data in Australia.

Orca Security, a leading provider of agentless cloud security, has successfully completed the Australian Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment at the PROTECTED classification level for its Orca Cloud Security Platform [1]. This significant achievement follows a recent FedRAMP authorization in the United States and underscores Orca's commitment to meeting rigorous security standards required for public sector systems worldwide.

The IRAP assessment, conducted by Tesserent, an approved IRAP assessor and auditing partner now part of Thales Cybersecurity Services ANZ, ensures that technology providers handling sensitive government data adopt a risk-based approach and comply with the security requirements set forth by the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM) [2]. The assessment evaluates the implementation, appropriateness, and effectiveness of a system's security controls, providing a comprehensive Security Assessment Report (IRAP report) that enables consumers to assess the system's suitability for their security needs and risk appetite.

"Completing the IRAP assessment at the PROTECTED classification level affirms our platform's capability to safeguard Australia's most sensitive cloud environments," said Avi Shua, Chief Innovation Officer and Co-founder of Orca Security. "This achievement underscores our commitment to protecting critical government data in Australia and our broader mission to support public sector organizations globally with cloud security excellence—fortifying critical infrastructure and safeguarding national interests against emerging cyber threats."

The 2023-2030 Australian Cyber Security Strategy outlines plans to build national cyber resilience in response to rising cybercrime, including ensuring trust in digital products and software and protecting the most valuable datasets [3]. Orca's expanding presence in Australia continues to drive more than 100% year-over-year growth across both government and enterprise sectors, demonstrating its growing significance in the region's cloud security landscape.
