OpenAI has officially launched its AI video generation model, Sora, offering a new creative tool to users without additional fees. This release marks a significant milestone as it comes ten months after the company first introduced a preview of the product. Designed to generate realistic video clips from textual prompts, Sora initially targets ChatGPT paid subscribers across the United States and other global markets.

The Sora model introduces the Sora Turbo feature, which is capable of creating videos up to 20 seconds in duration with multiple variations available. OpenAI's CEO has conveyed aspirations to extend these services to European users, although regulatory adherence may cause potential delays in such expansions.

Initially, access to Sora remains limited. ChatGPT Plus subscribers are allowed to produce up to 50 low-resolution videos per month. Conversely, ChatGPT Pro users can generate an unlimited number of high-resolution videos at a slower rate with a cap of 500 rapid productions each month.

This strategic move by OpenAI not only enhances its product offerings but also aligns with the growing demand for AI-driven content creation tools. As Sora rolls out, it is expected to accelerate the convergence of AI innovations within everyday digital interactions, safeguarding OpenAI's position at the forefront of AI developments.
