Ontic Technologies, Inc. has received $230 million in funding from KKR & Co. Inc., JMI Management, L.P., Silverton Partners, Ridge Ventures, and Ten Eleven Ventures. The funding round was led by KKR Next Generation Technology Growth Fund III SCSp, a fund managed by KKR & Co. Inc. Ontic Technologies plans to use the funding to continue its growth and expansion in the technology sector.
Ontic Technologies, Inc., a leading software platform for connected security intelligence, has secured $230 million in Series C funding. The funding round was led by KKR & Co. Inc. (KKR.N) [1] [2]. Other participants in the funding included JMI Equity, Silverton Partners, Ridge Ventures, and Ten Eleven Ventures.
The investment will accelerate Ontic's mission to deliver Connected Intelligence at scale across enterprise and public sector security. Ontic's platform helps security teams efficiently monitor, analyze, and respond to physical threats concerning an organization's personnel and facilities. The company has scaled into a product leader in the security space, servicing a wide range of enterprise customers including Fortune 50 companies across technology, financial services, and consumer goods.
The funding will also enable Ontic to grow its international presence and continue advancing its platform to support both global enterprises and the U.S. public sector. The company plans to expand into the federal and government sectors, leveraging KKR's deep sector knowledge and global network.
Lukas Quanstrom, CEO and co-founder of Ontic, stated, "Security leaders are being asked to do more than ever—track growing volumes of data, work with limited resources, and still show up as strategic partners to the business. This investment is about backing them. It’s about giving them a unified platform—powered by AI and built for real-world complexity—that reduces noise, connects the dots, and helps them lead with clarity and confidence in moments that matter."
The Series C funding comes nearly four years after Ontic's $40 million Series B investment round, led by JMI Equity. Existing investors JMI Equity, Felicis Ventures, Silverton Partners, and Ridge Ventures will continue their participation in the business.
KKR's investment in Ontic is part of its broader strategy to support technology-focused growth companies. The firm has invested approximately $24 billion in related investments since 2016 and has a dedicated global team of 28 investment professionals with deep technology growth equity expertise.
This latest funding round underscores the increasing demand for advanced security solutions in the corporate and public sectors. Ontic's platform aggregates open-source intelligence (OSINT) and external threat signals alongside internal data from systems like HR, legal, IT, and facilities, providing a comprehensive and integrated approach to security.
