onsemi and GlobalFoundries Collaborate on GaN Power Devices for Critical Markets

onsemi has partnered with GlobalFoundries to develop and manufacture gallium nitride (GaN) power products using GF's 200mm eMode GaN-on-silicon process. The collaboration aims to accelerate onsemi's roadmap for high-performance GaN devices and integrated power stages, targeting high-growth markets such as AI data centers, electric vehicles, and renewable energy. The partnership will deliver new 650V power devices, pairing onsemi's silicon drivers and controllers with GF's GaN technology platform. Samples are expected to be available in H1 2026, with volume production to follow.
