Ondo Finance Token Surges 1.5% After Major Industry Alliance

The alliance, known as the Global Markets Alliance, includes a diverse group of participants such as the Solana Foundation, BitGo, Fireblocks, Jupiter, 1inch, Trust Wallet, Bitget Wallet, Rainbow Wallet, and Alpaca. Each member contributes uniquely to the alliance, with wallet providers integrating Ondo’s tokenized asset standards, exchanges supporting programmatic access, and custodians providing institutional infrastructure.

The Global Markets Alliance is set to launch Ondo Global Markets, a platform designed to offer tokenized exposure to U.S. publicly traded securities, including stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds, for users based outside the U.S. This initiative aims to reduce the frictions associated with traditional capital market infrastructure and broaden global access to these financial instruments. The alliance’s goals include aligning technical and compliance standards, improving cross-platform access and liquidity, and supporting use cases such as self-custody and onchain trading. While the alliance has not set a specific timeline, its members view this initiative as part of a longer-term shift toward integrating traditional financial products into blockchain-based systems.

Ondo Finance’s recent post on X highlighted their vision for the future, stating that “2025 will be the year of tokenized stocks.” This prediction underscores the company’s belief in the accelerating adoption of tokenized financial instruments in the coming years.
