Omnicom has restructured its India leadership team and retired multiple agency brands following its merger with IPG. The merged entity will operate a consolidated creative business and media practice, with Aditya Kanthy leading Omnicom Advertising India and Prasoon Joshi as chairman. DDB, FCB, and Mullen Lowe have been retired, while TBWA\LIntas, BBDO Group, and McCann will continue to operate under the retained brands. Kartik Sharma has been appointed CEO of Omnicom Media, and the entity will house six networks under the unified umbrella. The merger is expected to eliminate 4,000 jobs globally and save $750 million in wages.
