Nvidia and xAI announced a partnership for a large data center facility in Saudi Arabia, equipped with hundreds of thousands of Nvidia chips. The facility will be the first customer for xAI, an AI startup owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund. The data center, which will use 500 megawatts of power, is part of Nvidia's "sovereign AI" initiative to protect national security and culture. AMD and Qualcomm will also supply chips and AI systems to the facility.
