NVIDIA has unveiled the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs, set to integrate into popular enterprise servers from Cisco, Dell, HPE, Lenovo, and Supermicro. These servers will accelerate workloads like AI, content creation, and data analytics, improving performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness for enterprises. The move marks a shift from traditional CPU systems to advanced accelerated computing platforms.

NVIDIA has announced the integration of its RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs into popular enterprise servers from major system partners including Cisco, Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, and Supermicro. This move aims to accelerate workloads such as AI, content creation, and data analytics, thereby improving performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness for enterprises.

The new 2U servers, set to be offered by these major system partners, will feature two RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs. This compact form factor represents a significant improvement over previous 4U servers, which required more space and had higher cooling and power demands [3]. The servers are expected to provide up to 45x better performance and 18x higher energy efficiency compared to CPU-only 2U systems, potentially leading to substantial server fleet consolidation for customers [3].

The RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs are designed to deliver breakthrough performance for a broad range of applications, including AI and machine learning, data analytics, 3D graphics, and scientific simulation. They incorporate the latest Blackwell architecture innovations, such as fifth-generation Tensor Cores and second-generation Transformer Engine with support for FP4 precision, delivering up to 6x faster inference performance compared to the previous-generation NVIDIA L40S GPU [1].

These servers also provide the infrastructure backbone for the NVIDIA AI Data Platform, a customizable reference design for building modern storage systems for enterprise agentic AI. At SIGGRAPH, Dell announced updates to the Dell AI Data Platform, integrated with the NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design, along with Dell PowerEdge R7725 2U servers featuring two RTX PRO 6000 GPUs, NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, and NVIDIA networking [1].

The new 2U mainstream systems join a family of RTX PRO Servers announced in May at COMPUTEX, providing a full spectrum of rack-mounted designs capable of supporting two, four, or eight NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell GPUs. The servers are ideal for enterprises looking to optimize performance, efficiency, and costs [1].
