Nvidia (NVDA) announced it will resume sales of its H20 artificial intelligence (AI) chip to China, following assurances from the US government that export licenses will be granted. The move comes after Nvidia's CEO, Jensen Huang, met with US President Donald Trump and discussed the company's operations in China.
The H20 GPU was previously banned by the Trump administration in April due to national security concerns. However, Nvidia expects to start deliveries soon as it has filed applications with the US government to resume sales. The company has also introduced a new model, the RTX Pro GPU, tailored to meet regulatory rules in the Chinese market [1].
Meanwhile, The Trade Desk (NASDAQ:TTD) stock surged 11.5% after being included in the S&P 500 index, effective July 18, 2025. The digital advertising platform will replace ANSYS Inc. (NASDAQ:ANSS), which is being acquired by Synopsys Inc. (NASDAQ:SNPS). This inclusion typically drives significant buying pressure as index funds must purchase shares of newly added companies [3].
Lastly, Tesla (TSLA) made its debut in India with the Model Y SUV priced at $69,751. The high price tag is a result of India's 70% tariff on electric vehicle (EV) imports and a 30% luxury tax. This pricing strategy positions Tesla to compete in the premium segment of India's market rather than with local EVs [4].
