Nvidia (NVDA.US), Aurora (AUR.US), and Continental Group have joined forces to develop self-driving trucks.

Aurora (AUR.US), a leading autonomous technology company, has formed a long-term strategic partnership with Continental, a global automotive supplier, and Nvidia (NVDA.US) to jointly deploy autonomous trucks at scale.

Under this collaboration, Nvidia's next-generation DRIVE Thor SoC platform and DriveOS will be integrated into the SAE Level 4 autonomous system, Aurora Driver.

The production of these autonomous trucks is scheduled for 2027, with initial services set to launch in Texas in April 2025.

With Continental and Aurora preparing for mass production of autonomous hardware in 2027, production samples of DRIVE Thor will be available in the first half of 2025.

Continental will test prototypes of the future hardware package in the coming months.
