Nvidia is set to host the highly-anticipated GTC 2025 conference from March 17 to 21 in San Jose, California. The event is expected to attract 25,000 in-person participants and around 300,000 online attendees, making it a key event in the AI industry calendar. This year's conference will showcase Nvidia's advanced AI and accelerated computing platforms and their applications in diverse fields such as climate research, healthcare, cybersecurity, humanoid robotics, and autonomous driving.
A major highlight of the conference is the keynote speech by
CEO Jensen Huang on March 19. He is expected to introduce the GB300 and B300 series chips, building on last year's launch of the Blackwell AI platform. Despite initial production challenges, Blackwell has been successfully mass-produced, generating substantial sales, and the new chip series is anticipated to bring significant performance enhancements. The B300, specifically, is expected to offer a 50% improvement over its predecessor, the B200.The introduction of water cooling technology for these new chips marks a significant shift from traditional air cooling methods, aligning with increased power consumption and cooling needs. This advancement is hailed as a "second cooling revolution," with Nvidia set to quadruple the use of high-density water cooling pipelines compared to the previous GB200 model.
Beyond product unveilings, GTC 2025 will feature the first "Quantum Day," focusing on quantum computing's current landscape and future potential. Industry leaders such as D-Wave and IonQ will join discussions, highlighting Nvidia’s recalibrated stance on the
frontier. In parallel, the conference will host China AI Day, a special session spotlighting advancements by leading Chinese tech firms like ByteDance and Baidu in AI models and software-hardware optimization. The event highlights China's growing influence in AI technology amidst a global AI boom.
Overall, the GTC 2025 is poised to reinforce Nvidia's leadership in AI and potentially revitalize its stock market performance. Analysts suggest the conference could catalyze market reassessment of Nvidia’s valuation, with a focus on long-term growth. Thus, GTC 2025 stands as a critical junction for Nvidia’s future trajectory in AI innovation and market positioning.
