Novartis breaks ground on a new global Biomedical Research center in San Diego, California. The facility, expected to open in 2029, will house about 1,000 employees and integrate with other global research sites. The center will focus on genetics and human biology in key therapeutic areas, including neuroscience and oncology, and will support end-to-end drug discovery across core disease areas. It will also expand Novartis' capabilities in next-generation technology platforms and advance novel delivery systems.
