Amichai Shulman, CTO and co-founder of Nokod Security, will present a session at Black Hat USA 2025, focusing on mitigating security risks in citizen developer environments. His talk, entitled “Of the Citizens, By the Citizens, For the Citizens: Security Risks in Citizen Developer Environments and How to Mitigate Them,” will delve into the cybersecurity blind spots introduced by no-code platforms and autonomous AI agents, providing a practical framework for securing these environments.
The session, scheduled for Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 2:05 PM to 2:25 PM PDT, will explore real-world security risks associated with citizen-developed apps and automations. It will also demonstrate how AI-driven no-code tools expand the enterprise attack surface and present a practical framework for mitigating these risks. Shulman will showcase live demos of emerging attack techniques targeting these environments.
Shulman is an internationally recognized expert and researcher in data and application security. He previously served as co-founder and CTO at Imperva for over 15 years and is a frequent conference speaker and industry authority on cybersecurity. As an investor and advisor, he has guided successful startups, including Intsights and SkyFence. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
Nokod Security, the security company for no-code development, will also be demonstrating its security platform at Black Hat USA Booth #6223. The company protects enterprises from security risks introduced by no-code, RPA (robotic process automation), and AI Agent development across various platforms, including Microsoft Power Platform, UiPath, ServiceNow, and Salesforce.
The surge in applications and workflows created autonomously by business users, known as citizen development, is reshaping software delivery but also introducing a rapidly expanding and unprotected attack surface. Amichai Shulman’s session at Black Hat USA 2025 aims to address these challenges and provide actionable insights for enterprises to regain control over their security.
