Nextel Partners (NP) has filed a petition for a preliminary injunction against Nextel Communications (NC) due to NC's merger with Sprint and changes to the Nextel brand. NP argues that NC's new ads and logos use the combined names of Sprint and Nextel, as well as the black and yellow colors previously used by Nextel, which could confuse customers and cause financial losses. The matter was argued in person and was thoroughly briefed by both sides, with numerous exhibits and declarations.
