NETSCOUT Enhances AI-Powered DDoS Defense Solutions to Automate Defenses and Improve Reporting

NETSCOUT Systems has introduced AI-enhanced DDoS protection to automate defenses and improve reporting. The solution analyzes up to 700 Tbps of internet traffic in real-time, covering around 50% of global activity. 41% of organizations face damages over $100,000 from online attacks, highlighting the need for advanced cybersecurity solutions. The enhanced solution utilizes the ATLAS Intelligence Feed to provide actionable intelligence for mitigating DDoS attacks.

NETSCOUT Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTCT) has announced significant enhancements to its DDoS protection solutions, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to automate defenses and improve reporting. The new features, integrated into the NETSCOUT Arbor Edge Defense and Arbor Enterprise Manager Adaptive Distributed Denial of Services (DDoS) solution, aim to help customers better protect their critical applications and services.

The enhanced solution utilizes the ATLAS Intelligence Feed, which monitors over 700 Tbps of internet traffic in real-time across over 500 ISPs and 2,000 enterprise sites from over 100 countries. This represents approximately 50% of global internet activity at any given time. AI/ML algorithms run in the ATLAS cloud infrastructure, providing actionable intelligence to NETSCOUT solutions that are constantly updated.

The new enhancements include strengthened data segmentation through scoped user access, automated IP protocol flooding detection and mitigation, an enhanced DDoS dashboard for greater visibility and control, and on-demand, automated reports to streamline information flow across security teams.

According to Chris Rodriguez, research director at IDC, 41% of organizations reported damages over $100,000 from online attacks, including DDoS incidents, highlighting the growing need for advanced cybersecurity solutions. NETSCOUT’s AI-powered DDoS protection aims to mitigate up to 80% of all DDoS attacks without further analysis.
