Tuesday, Jan 13, 2026 3:14 am ET1min read

Nestle has initiated a recall of infant formula products including SMA, BEBA, and NAN due to a quality issue detected in Europe. The recall began in December and affects specific batches of SMA infant formula and follow-on formula. The company has found potential presence of cereulide, a substance that causes foodborne illness, in the batches. Nestle is voluntarily recalling the products out of caution, despite no confirmed reports of illness.
