A24 has released the trailer for the English-dubbed version of "Ne Zha 2," a highly anticipated animated blockbuster. The film, originally released in Chinese in January 2025, has already broken numerous box office records, grossing over 15.9 billion yuan ($2.215 billion) worldwide. "Ne Zha 2" is directed by Jiaozi and produced by Liu Wenzhang and Wang Jing. The film is based on the Chinese mythological character and Xu Zhonglin's 16th-century novel "Investiture of the Gods" (Fengshen Yanyi). The story follows Ne Zha, a deity in a young body, as he grapples with issues of the magical world while maintaining a grounded relationship with his mother.

The English-dubbed version is set to be released in North America, Australia, and New Zealand on August 22, 2025. A24 and CMC Pictures are co-distributing the film, which is expected to capitalize on the success of the original Chinese release. The film's global success, coupled with the addition of a renowned voice actor like Michelle Yeoh, positions it as a strong contender for box office success in the international market.
