The National Radio and Television Administration requires the standardization of AI "magic modification" short videos.

Recently, the National Radio and Television Administration's Network Video and Television Program Administration issued a "management reminder (AI magic modification)" to point out that AI "magic modification" videos have been frequently seen recently, which are similar to the real ones and "magic modification" classic phenomena. It requires each relevant provincial bureau to urge the short video platforms in its jurisdiction to investigate and clean up short videos of AI "magic modification" movies and TV series.

The management reminder points out that these AI "magic modification" classics include "Duanhuan" becoming a "gun battle", "Dream of the Red Chamber" becoming a "kung fu play", and Sun Wukong riding a motorcycle and leaving. The management reminder believes that these videos are for the sake of traffic, and they are disrespectful to classic IPs without boundaries, which challenges the traditional cultural cognition and is contrary to the spirit of the original work, and may constitute infringement.

In order to create a clear network audio and video space, the management reminder puts forward specific management requirements: each relevant provincial bureau urges the short video platforms in its jurisdiction to investigate and clean up short videos of AI "magic modification" movies and TV series, and provide feedback on work within a limited time; strictly implement the content review requirements of generative artificial intelligence, and learn from others, to conduct self-examination on the large models or AI special effects functions developed by their own platforms, and strictly access and monitor the related technology products used and spread on the platform, and make prominent prompts for AI-generated content.
