National Certification Corporation Announces Election Results for 2025 Board of Directors and Officers

The National Certification Corporation (NCC) has announced the outcome of its Board of Directors and Officers election. Carol Wallman, DNP, APRN, NNP-BC, has been re-elected as President, Beth R. Steinfeld, DNP, WHNP-BC, has been re-elected as Vice-President, and Tonnyann T. Swinton, DNP, NPD-BC, RNC-OB, has been re-elected as Secretary-Treasurer. Christopher Goodier, MD, C-EFM, has also been re-elected to the Board of Directors. The new and returning directors are listed on the NCC website.

The National Certification Corporation (NCC) recently announced the results of its Board of Directors and Offices election for 2024. The NCC, a leading organization in nursing certification, follows a slate approval process for the election of its directors, while officers are appointed by the Board of Directors [1].

Carol Wallman, DNP, APRN, NNP-BC, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the NNP Program at Loretta Heights School of Nursing at Regis University, Denver, Colorado, was re-elected as President of NCC. Dr. Wallman has been a dedicated member of the NCC Board of Directors since 2020 and has served as the NCC Service President since 2022 [1]. Her extensive experience in neonatal nursing and education makes her an ideal leader for the organization.

Beth R. Steinfeld, DNP, WHNP-BC, FNYAM, Chair of Advanced Level Nursing Programs, Program Director of the WHNP Program, and Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, was also re-elected as Vice-President of NCC. Dr. Steinfeld has been an active member of the NCC Board of Directors since 2021 and has served as the Director of Continuing Education Reviewer during her tenure [1]. Her expertise in women's health nursing and leadership positions her well for this role.

Tonnyann T. Swinton, DNP, NPD-BC, RNC-OB, C-EFM, C-ONQS, Division Vice President Clinical Education, Center for Clinical Advancement HCA Healthcare, Central West Texas Division in Pearland, Texas, was re-elected as the Secretary-Treasurer of NCC. Ms. Swinton has been a member of the NCC Board of Directors since 2022 and has served as the NCC Service Secretary-Treasurer since then [1]. Her experience in nursing education, leadership, and clinical practice make her a valuable asset to the organization.

Christopher Goodier, MD, C-EFM, was also re-elected to the Board of Directors. Dr. Goodier is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, San Francisco, and the Medical Director of the Labor and Delivery Unit at San Francisco General Hospital [1]. His expertise in obstetrics and gynecology and his experience as a medical director make him a valuable contributor to the NCC Board of Directors.
