Mumbai Police Issues Traffic Advisory for Ganesh Visarjan 2025: Key Routes, Road Closures, and Safety Measures

Mumbai Police has issued a detailed traffic advisory for Anant Chaturdashi, the day of Ganesh idol immersion. Key routes and road closures include Padmashree Govardhan Bafna Chowk to Vinoli Junction, Navjeevan Junction to Kailashwasi Gajanan Vartak Chowk, and Hemu Kalani Marg, Gidwani Marg, and R.C. Marg. Parking restrictions will be in effect at Nathalal Parekh Marg, Captain Prakash Pethe Marg, Pandey Road, and Rambhau Salgaonkar Road. Over 21,000 police personnel will be deployed to ensure smooth and safe proceedings.

Mumbai Police has issued detailed traffic restrictions around Mount Mary Church in Bandra West ahead of the upcoming Bandra Fair 2025. The restrictions are set to be in place from September 14 to September 21, 2025, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of devotees and visitors.

The police have announced several key road closures and one-way traffic arrangements. Mount Mary Road will be closed for all types of vehicles except those of local residents with car passes and emergency vehicles. Kane Road will be a one-way street from its junction with Mount Mary Road to B.J. Road, with no entry from B.J. Road. Pareira Road will be one-way from East to West, with no entry from B.J. Road. St. John Baptista Road will also be closed for all vehicular traffic except for local residents with special passes. Additionally, the right turn at Carmel Church on Chappel Road to Veronika Road will be closed for all types of vehicles.

Parking restrictions have been imposed on both sides of several roads, including Mount Mary Road, Pereira Road, Kane Road, Hill Road, Mt. Carmel Road, Chapel Road, John Baptist Road, St. Sebestian Road, Rebello Road, Dr. Peter Dias Road, and St. Paul Road. These restrictions will be in effect from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily between September 14 and 21, 2025.

The Bandra Fair is a significant event attracting lakhs of devotees from across the country each year. The fair is set up around the Mount Mary Church and is followed by the Nativity of Mother Mary celebrations. The police have issued these traffic restrictions to prevent danger, obstruction, and inconvenience to the public during the event.
