Mullen Automotive (NASDAQ: MULN), a Southern California-based electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has secured a significant order for its Class 3 EV truck, the Mullen THREE, from Westland Floral. This order, valued at $210 million, is a testament to the growing recognition of EVs as a cost-effective and sustainable solution for commercial fleets.

Westland Floral, a prominent player in the floral industry, has placed an order for two Mullen THREE trucks, which will be upfitted by Phenix Truck Bodies in Pomona, California. The order was fulfilled by Pritchard, and it includes California HVIP incentives approval for the Class 3 EVs Westland purchased. This decision by Westland Floral demonstrates the increasing demand for electric trucks in the commercial sector and the potential for Mullen Automotive to capture a significant share of this growing market.

The Mullen THREE features a tight turning diameter of 38 feet and excellent visibility, making it an ideal choice for urban last-mile delivery. Its versatile chassis provides a clean top-of-rail for easy upfitting with bodies up to 14 feet long and over 5,800 pounds of payload. These features, combined with the substantial financial incentives available, make the Mullen THREE an attractive option for businesses looking to reduce their operational costs and environmental impact.

Ben Hartford, EV sales manager for Pritchard Commercial, praised Westland Floral's decision to incorporate the Mullen THREE into their fleet. He noted that by utilizing California's HVIP incentives, Westland is not only reducing their operational costs but also making a meaningful commitment to environmental sustainability. David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive, echoed these sentiments, expressing confidence in the Mullen THREE's ability to deliver performance and savings for Westland's fleet.

Mullen Automotive's commercial EV lineup includes the Mullen ONE, a Class 1 EV cargo van, and the Mullen THREE, a Class 3 EV cab chassis truck. Both vehicles are available for sale and in full compliance with U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) certifications. The Mullen THREE has recently qualified for a $15,000 incentive through the State of Massachusetts MOR-EV program and a $45,000 cash rebate voucher through the California Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Program (HVIP). The Mullen ONE is also eligible for a $3,500 MOR-EV incentive in Massachusetts. When combined with the $7,500 Federal Tax Incentive, both vehicles offer substantial savings for commercial fleet customers.

Mullen Automotive's recent expansion of its commercial dealer network to seven dealers, including Papé Kenworth, Pritchard EV, and others, provides sales and service coverage in key markets across the Midwest, West Coast, Pacific Northwest, New England, and Mid-Atlantic regions. This expanded network will enable Mullen to better serve its growing customer base and capture a larger share of the burgeoning EV truck market.

In conclusion, Mullen Automotive's order from Westland Floral demonstrates the growing demand for electric trucks in the commercial sector and the potential for Mullen to capture a significant share of this market. With its attractive features, substantial financial incentives, and expanding dealer network, Mullen is well-positioned to capitalize on the increasing interest in sustainable transportation solutions.
