Momentum sees FY EPS 52% to 62% higher y/y
In the latest earnings reports, United Malacca Berhad (UMCCA) and Intuit Inc. (INTU) have demonstrated significant year-over-year (YoY) growth in their earnings per share (EPS), with EPS increases of 52% and 62%, respectively. This strong momentum reflects the robust performance of these companies in their respective sectors.United Malacca Berhad, listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE:UMCCA), reported a revenue of RM711.2 million for the full year 2025, a 19% increase from the previous year. The company's net income surged to RM96.4 million, representing a 91% YoY increase. The profit margin improved to 14%, up from 8.5% in the previous year, primarily driven by higher revenue. EPS grew to RM0.46, up from RM0.24 in the previous year [1].
Intuit Inc., a leading provider of financial and tax software, reported fourth-quarter fiscal 2025 non-GAAP EPS of $2.75, a 38.2% increase from the year-ago quarter. The company's revenue of $3.83 billion was a 20.3% YoY increase, beating the consensus estimate. Intuit's operating income climbed 39.2% to $1.02 billion, and the non-GAAP operating margin increased to 26.5% [2].
Both companies have shown strong earnings growth, indicating robust demand for their products and services. United Malacca Berhad's revenue growth was driven by its Plantation segment, which contributed RM797.9 million, or 112% of total revenue. Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group revenues grew 17.8% YoY, while its Consumer Group revenues increased 21.2% [2].
Looking ahead, United Malacca Berhad expects revenue to decline by 2.3% per annum on average over the next two years, while the Malaysian Food industry is expected to grow by 2.2% per year. Intuit projects fiscal 2026 revenues to grow between 14% and 15% on a year-over-year basis, with non-GAAP earnings per share estimated between $3.05 and $3.12 [2].
