Modernizing Research Infrastructure: Baylor College of Medicine's LIMS Migration to AWS

Baylor College of Medicine's Human Genome Sequencing Center migrated its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to a secure, hybrid cloud environment on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to improve reliability, security, and scalability. The on-premises LIMS was costly to maintain and difficult to scale, and the migration strengthened the system's reliability, improved security, and lowered costs while laying the groundwork for future growth. The solution was designed using AWS best practices and NIST, CAP, and CLIA security compliance requirements.
