Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty plans to address the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) general council meeting in New Delhi on May 2. He will highlight the denial of history in NCERT textbooks and argue against "saffronisation" of education. Sivankutty will also discuss the withholding of funds for the Samagra Shiksha scheme, which he sees as a violation of the Right to Education Act. SSLC results are expected to be announced in the second week of May, while higher secondary exam results will be announced later.
