MidOcean Energy, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) company backed by EIG Partners, is in early talks to join Argentina's $20 billion LNG project, led by state-owned YPF SA and Eni SpA. The project aims to convert Argentina's Vaca Muerta shale field into a major global energy exporter. Saudi Aramco is an investor in MidOcean. The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, met with MidOcean executives this week. The talks are still in the early stages, and MidOcean could still withdraw from the project.
