1min read MicroStrategy(MSTR.US) recently purchased 18,300 bitcoins for about $1.11 billion, its largest single investment in the digital asset in more than three years, according to a filing submitted by the enterprise software maker to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday. The company bought the bitcoins between Aug. 6 and Sept. 12, according to the filing. Notably, this is the largest bitcoin purchase by MicroStrategy since it announced in February 2021 that it bought 19,452 bitcoins.
