Microsoft Unveils MAI-DxO AI System, Outperforms Human Doctors in Disease Diagnosis.

Microsoft has unveiled MAI-DxO, an AI system that diagnoses diseases four times more accurately and at a lower cost than human doctors. The system works by querying multiple AI models and emulating a virtual panel of physicians. In a test using 304 complex case studies, MAI-DxO achieved an accuracy of 80%, while a group of physicians achieved a mean accuracy of 20%. The AI system reduced costs by around 20% by efficiently selecting less expensive tests and procedures.
