Saylor's presentation, titled “Why Bitcoin Q+A,” was uploaded to the internet on X, where he emphasized Bitcoin’s unique qualities and its potential to significantly influence the future of the global economy.Saylor described Bitcoin as “perfected capital,” highlighting its fixed supply of 21 million and its global accessibility. He argued that these characteristics make Bitcoin an unparalleled store of value, setting it apart from other assets. Saylor’s vision for Bitcoin extends beyond its current market value, predicting that it could reach $280 trillion by 2045, surpassing the value of gold and bonds. This forecast aligns with his previous predictions, such as those made at the Nashville conference in 2024.

, holds 580,250 Bitcoin as of May 25, 2025. The company’s recent purchase of 4,020 BTC for almost $427.1 million at $106,237 each has yielded a 16.8% return on investment so far this year. Saylor shared this data on X, underscoring the company’s commitment to Bitcoin.Saylor emphasized that Bitcoin empowers financial sovereignty, providing individuals and companies with a means to safeguard their wealth. He criticized traditional financial systems, noting that inflation erodes the value of cash and gold is impractical for everyday use. In contrast, Bitcoin’s global and instant nature makes it a more effective system. Saylor urged companies to integrate Bitcoin into their treasuries, citing Strategy’s success with its $40 billion Bitcoin holdings as a model for others to follow.
Saylor also advocated for the creation of a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve by the U.S. government, suggesting that this could position America as a leader in the digital economy. During the conference, Saylor engaged in a debate with Peter Schiff, a gold evangelist, where he justified Bitcoin’s volatility as a source of liquidity. Schiff countered by asserting that gold is a reliable investment instrument.
Looking ahead, Saylor envisioned a future where AI agents use Bitcoin as a primary currency by 2045. He described a global network for fast transactions, driven by digital assets. Saylor also predicted that by the end of 2025, U.S. legislators would establish transparent regulations for digital currencies, which he believes will boost mainstream adoption. Strategy has been a pioneer in corporate Bitcoin investment, starting in 2020 and quickly building the largest corporate position. The company continues to raise both equity and debt to expand its Bitcoin holdings.
