Mianyang Invites Citizens to Shape 2025 Legislation Through Open Proposal Call

In an effort to enhance public involvement in local legislative processes, the Standing Committee of the Mianyang Municipal People's Congress has announced an open call for proposals and suggestions on legislative topics for the year 2025. This initiative aims to foster collaboration with citizens, legal entities, and organizations in identifying and addressing legislative needs.

Participants are encouraged to submit proposals related to urban development and management, ecological conservation, historical and cultural preservation, as well as grassroots governance. When proposing legislative topics, submitters should specify the proposed law's title, the major issues it aims to address, and the reasons for its enactment. Suggestions on existing local laws and constructive feedback on the congress's legislative work are also welcome.

Submissions should include the submitter's name, organization, contact information, and can be sent to the Legislative Affairs Commission of Mianyang at the stated address or via email. The deadline for submissions is November 10, 2024. This transparent approach is intended to integrate public insights into the local legislative framework, ensuring that community needs are adequately represented.
